Camp Schedule Below Descriptions

Make It!

The perfect mix of making and design! This project based camp combines many different disciplines we teach at Maker. Students will have the opportunity to work with wood, fabric, plastics, paint and more. Possible projects include chess/checker sets, miniatures/model making, mechanical cars, airplanes and more. Each day the campers work on new projects allowing their creativity to flow! 3D printing, game design, slime, model making, rockets, and robotics!
Guaranteed not to be boring!

Creative Kids Kitchen

Campers will spend part of each day at camp cooking and baking, making sweet & savory treats to take home. Lots of time will be spent outside at area parks and exploring the culinary delights Leslieville has to offer. Campers will sample treats from area bakeries, butchers, fishmongers, and cheese shops. Campers will learn and cook meals from various cuisines available around the world! This week’s field trip is to St. Lawrence Market.

Stop Motion/Film Making

Campers will be guided through the steps of producing stop-motion short films! Explore a variety of materials and create objects, sets, figures, and props as well as learn camera and lighting basics. Students learn the fundamentals of animation sequencing, making cool titles, finding and mixing great music, as well as learning 2D hand animation essentials. By the end of the camp week, they’ll have their own clips ready to upload to YouTube.

robotics Bot Battle

The campers/robotics engineers will team up to build and code robots that become superheroes, able to search the castle, find hidden objects, and do friendly battles. Building, racing, and battling bots teach us coding and robotics at the same time. Campers will work with Lego Robotics as well as work on building their own ( non-Lego) take-home robots with materials from our Maker Space.

Minecraft + Sports Camp

At Minecraft camp, kids work on building skills like collaboration, communication, critical thinking, and systems thinking. Our dedicated Minecraft server offers an open learning environment that gives students the freedom to experiment, encouraging creative self-expression and problem-solving. Campers will learn about the commands within Minecraft to build in ways not humanly possible and to create mini-games to challenge their friends. Later, we will team up in Survival Mode to test our knowledge and skills and embark on an adventure together. (Will we make it to The End?). This week we’ll also be spending half the day with our athletic instructors working on sports skills. Flag-Football, soccer, basketball, volleyball, Frisbee golf, and baseball to name a few!

*just let us know if your child would like to opt out of Sports.

Slime & Potions Camp

Welcome to Slime Camp! A sensory journey for campers with a passion for Slime. Join us this week for a camp that is all about getting messy and creating different potions and slime! There is fun to be had making magic milk, several kinds of slime, lava lamps, name crystals, and more!
We will create multiple projects each day of the camp.

Digital Art & Animation

In Digital Arts & Animation campers will learn basic Drawing & Painting techniques but also experiment with stop motion techniques and 2D visual effects for animation and painting. Beyond the technical skills, they'll also learn to express their own ideas and artistic voice.  The focus this week will be on painting, digital imaging, and animation.

Fabric & Fashion Design

Combining the best parts of fashion and design, our one-of-a-kind "boutique" camp teaches students how to sew, design, and style their own creations. Campers learn to sew and work with fabric using various techniques, create their own prints, visit a fabric store, and will take home everything they’ve created at camp.

Scratch Coding & Video Game Design

This week, budding programmers will create new worlds in Scratch, the visual programming language for kids from MIT. We'll start out going step-by-step together creating a simple game that includes fundamentals. From there, campers will be assisted in coding a game of their own design.

Minecraft & game design

At Minecraft camp, kids work on building skills like collaboration, communication, critical thinking, and systems thinking. The open learning environment gives students the freedom to experiment, encouraging creative self-expression and problem-solving. Code Builder is a feature within Minecraft that allows students to learn coding in Minecraft using tools including Code.org, Tynker, Scratch, and Microsoft MakeCode. Students can use blocks of code or JavaScript to build and create in Minecraft. We have our own dedicated Minecraft server and campers will play in both survival and creative mode. Game design, modding, java coding, and more.

Magic: The Gathering Camp

Step into a world of strategy, spells, and epic battles at our Magic: The Gathering Camp! Young Planeswalkers will learn the ins and outs of deck building, game mechanics, and strategic thinking, all while making new friends who share their love of the game. Each day is packed with engaging activities: from beginner tutorials and advanced tactics to exciting multiplayer matches and fun themed challenges. Whether your child is a budding duelist or an experienced player, this camp encourages critical thinking, creativity, and friendly competition in a magical, supportive environment. Prepare to cast spells, summon creatures, and craft legendary decks!

Refund Policy: Camp may be canceled up to 2 weeks prior to the start date. A $50 cancellation fee will be applied. There are no refunds for camp days not used due to illness, or canceled within 2 weeks of the start date.
